Here's how Orbit handles your information:

What We Do & Don't Do

  • Limited Third-Party Services: Orbit uses Firebase Crashlytics for crash reporting and Mixpanel for limited, anonymized analytics. Both services are configured with privacy in mind, collecting only the minimum data necessary.

  • No Affiliations: Orbit is not partnered with, sponsored by, or connected to any subscription services you track. It's entirely independent.

Your Data

  • If you choose to export your subscription data, it’s entirely up to you where and how it’s shared. We have no access to it.

  • Go to Settings > Export Subscriptions.

Crash Reporting

To help us improve Orbit and ensure it runs smoothly, we use Firebase Crashlytics. This service helps us identify and fix technical issues by collecting:

  • Anonymous crash reports and error logs

  • Basic device information (model, OS version)

  • App performance metrics

This data is:

  • This data doesn’t personally identify you and contains no names or email addresses.

  • Used solely to improve app stability and performance

We do not collect or have access to:

  • Personal or financial information

  • Usage patterns or behavior

Analytics

We use Mixpanel analytics to improve Orbit through limited, anonymous data collection. Our analytics implementation follows strict privacy-by-design principles:

  • What We Collect: Anonymous usage patterns and general app statistics. This includes things like anonymized subscription details that help us learn how Orbit is used and improve its features.

  • How We Use This Data: This anonymous data helps us understand which features are most valuable, identify trends in subscription usage, and make informed decisions about future improvements.

  • Privacy Protection: All analytics data is anonymized and aggregated. Your data is never used for advertising or profiling, and we employ technical safeguards to protect your privacy. We do not collect names, email addresses, or any other personal identifiers. You may request to opt-out of this anonymized analytics data. If you contact us using the email button in the app settings, your anonymous app ID may be included so we can respond to your feedback. We only use it to provide support or process a data request, and it’s never connected to your anonymised analytics data unless you choose to share it.
